i might have a line on one out of the states...waiting for a fax from them...i'll get back to you...and no i don't think cndn tire or home depot would have a clue what a ratchet winder is...lol...wishful thinking but would be nice...i had an electric one eons ago but the p.o.s. blew up on me...literally...shudder.never again...i came across one a while back but it was onlt for 1 3/4" or 2" springs and well, who needs a winder for that...its the 5'-6" ones that a guy needs it for...ain't getting younger...i don't care who sells them and where...i'll bring one in from europe if i have to... later

ya...it was like $500 or something to my door, not a bad price considering i can very safely and easily backwind a headshaft with 2-6" springs on a 16' staight vertical and not have to worry about whether or not to trust the jackshaft chain from jumping teeth (believe it or not there are still some idiots out there that do not use spreaders) and all by myself...no more worrying about bent bars or anything...they show on the site that you can use it on residential but it aint worth it for that...you'd have the spring wound with bars b4 you'd even get the ratchet thingy put together...the only downside is they don't make one for 1and 1/4" shaft, where you really need it...its very well made and quite heavy as well...i may only use it 6 or 7 times a year but every door shop should have one in the tool crib... :P
